We are seeking a dedicated Production Technician / Machine Operative to support our manufacturing operations. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth running of our production line and maintaining the high-quality standards our customers expect. Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Hours: Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 16:00 (8 hours paid with two 30-minute unpaid breaks)
Responsibilities
* Perform all production tasks, including food preparation, blending, packaging, and presenting finished goods to the warehouse.
* Maintain cleanliness of machinery and work areas to company standards.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain an "audit-ready" mindset.
* Accurately record data and interpret production schedules.
* Proactively fault-find and resolve technical issues.
* Work collaboratively with the team to meet and exceed departmental KPIs.
* Undertake any training required to support business goals and values.
* Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends during peak times.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in food manufacturing is highly desirable.
* A good understanding of food safety regulations.
* Technically minded with the ability to fault-find and resolve issues.
* Reliable, self-disciplined, and a strong team player.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Own transport is required due to the location and shift timings.
Day-to-Day
* Complete cleaning tasks and stack pallets on the production line.
* Lift up to 15kg continuously throughout the shift.
* Operate machinery and ensure all production tasks are completed efficiently.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
* Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
* Adhere to production schedules and ensure timely delivery of finished goods.
