Duties as Design Technology Teacher:
* Plan, prepare and deliver creative, differentiated lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
* Set, mark and assess classwork and homework, providing constructive feedback to support progress.
* Maintain and manage workshop equipment, ensuring a safe learning environment and adherence to health and safety regulations.
* Monitor and record pupil progress, preparing reports for parents and carers.
* Organise and supervise practical projects, coursework and after-school clubs or enrichment activities.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
* Attend staff meetings, training sessions and school events as required.
Ideal Design Technology Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Strong subject knowledge in at least one Design Technology discipline.
* Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a Design Technology Teacher.
