As an Electrical Inspector, you will be working on our social housing contract, helping provide a stable and profitable contract, delivering excellent service and support through our local teams, who understand the importance of working together for the local community.
Based in our Islington branch, your responsibilities will include inspecting works to verify compliance and quality of electrical installations on Capital Works projects, inspecting installations, creating reports, and liaising with clients and subcontractors.
Your key duties will involve:
1. Organising, coordinating, and assisting with the production of various reports, including Lifecycle Condition Surveys.
2. Conducting site inspections, completing, and uploading Site Inspection Reports.
3. Reviewing subcontractor RAMS.
4. Reviewing uploaded electrical certification from subcontractors.
5. Liaising between Mears and subcontractors.
You must ensure that electrical works are installed in accordance with:
* The electrical design specifications.
* Client requirements.
* The current edition of the BS7671 wiring regulations.
* Mears' internal policies and procedures, adhering to electrical compliance standards.
Role Criteria:
* City and Guilds 2360 Parts 1 and 2
* City and Guilds 2330 Levels 2 and 3 (from Sept 2011)
* City and Guilds 2365 Levels 2 and 3
* City and Guilds 2357 (Including AM2)
* City and Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing
* City and Guilds 2392 Fundamental Certification, Inspection and Testing
* City and Guilds 2394, 2395 Inspection and Testing
* City and Guilds 2382-18/20, 18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations
All roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work in the UK, as Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
To drive a Mears vehicle, candidates must be over 21, have held their license for over 3 months, and have fewer than 9 points.
All roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks before employment commencement.
