We are looking for a Site Installation Supervisor who is interested in working for a market leader in the electrical power infrastructure business. You will work on large-scale projects focused on enabling the transmission of green energy. You will become part of the Hitachi Energy HVDC Installation Department, a global organization with team members in 15+ countries, responsible for executing all mechanical and electrical installation activities in our delivery projects worldwide. The first project assignment will be based near Norwich. After this project, future assignments are likely in the UK or possibly globally. Candidates must be willing to travel.
You will be part of a team of Hitachi Energy employees with various responsibilities on site. There will be a Site Manager overseeing all work, along with specialists in quality, health & safety, planning, and other areas. You will be responsible for the installation and testing of electrical and mechanical equipment procured and delivered by Hitachi Energy, managing subcontractors performing these works.

How You’ll make an impact
* Supervise installations on site (both AC and DC) in high voltage projects, managing and guiding subcontractors to ensure efficient, cost-effective completion in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
* Contribute to planning and implementation of installation activities.
* Coordinate installation activities with the Installation Manager and/or Site Manager.
* Coordinate with the engineering office to ensure necessary documentation is used during execution and provide mark-ups for as-built documentation.
* Maintain good relationships with internal and external suppliers.
Your Background
* Technical education, preferably in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience in electrical or mechanical installation work in large-scale projects.
* At least 4-6 years of relevant work experience.
* Experience in installation supervision is advantageous.
* Previous experience with HVDC, FACTS, or Substation projects is preferred.
* CDM certification is preferred.
