Laboratory Technician & EHS Coordinator
Salary & Contract
Salary: £30,500 - £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract: Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday‑Friday (day shift)
Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly created Laboratory Technician & EHS Coordinator role at our Beverley Site. We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team who will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our products throughout the manufacturing process. This role also involves fostering a positive Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) culture, to achieve zero workplace accidents and incidents.
Summary of the Role
* Support Site Management in developing and maintaining a strong EHS culture
* Operate the Site Laboratory, including all testing, documentation, reporting, and analysis
* Provide support, advice, and guidance to management on quality, environment, health, and safety systems, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards
* Support Site Management in maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 (Quality) and 14001 (Environmental) management systems
Qualifications
* GCSE or equivalent in Maths, Science and English
* IOSH knowledge/experience or willingness to acquire a similar qualification
* EHS field work experience including root cause analysis awareness/experience
* Experience in a Laboratory environment including testing of materials with accurate data recording
* Basic knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001
* Basic knowledge of ERP / SAP
* Ability to travel across other UK sites as required
* Knowledge of factory and mining operations is preferable.
