About the Role
The Director of Learning – Science will lead the science faculty, develop a curriculum that engages all learners, and drive pupil outcomes. The role is inclusive of leading change, coaching colleagues, and representing the school within the Star Academies community.
Responsibilities
* Develop a science curriculum that satisfies the GCSE standard and caters to diverse learners.
* Lead the science faculty, coaching and motivating staff to achieve individual and collective targets.
* Deliver sustained outstanding attainment and achievement across the curriculum.
* Introduce innovative and creative approaches to engage, enthuse and progress learners.
* Represent the school within the Star Academies network and contribute to the broader leadership programme.
Qualifications
* Degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
* Proven ability to teach to GCSE standard.
* Experience of coaching and motivating colleagues.
* Track record of sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement.
* Innovation and creativity in engaging and progressing learners.
