Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled architectural technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development, coordination, and delivery of architectural projects from concept through to construction, ensuring compliance with regulations and high-quality technical output.
Key responsibilities
* prepare detailed architectural drawings, plans, and technical specifications using CAD/Revit software
* assist in the development of design proposals and construction information
* ensure all drawings comply with current UK Building Regulations and planning requirements
* coordinate with architects, consultants, and contractors to resolve technical issues
* produce and manage technical packages for tender and construction stages
* conduct site visits and assist with inspections as required
* support planning applications and building control submissions
* maintain project documentation and ensure accuracy and version control
Requirements
* degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in architectural technology or a related field
* proven experience in a similar role within an architectural practice
* proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM experience preferred)
* strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction methods
* excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* good communication and teamwork abilities
* ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple
