Responsibilities
* Comply with Company Health and Safety Procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and those around you
* Follow the department’s working procedures and practices
* Repair damaged and worn mould equipment to a high standard using various engineering techniques such as spray welding, polishing, grinding, filing and machining
* Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure the repaired equipment meet the required specification
* Modify mould equipment to maintain quality standards
* Carry out checks on mould equipment using visual and precision measuring techniques to ensure that specifications are complied with
* Record daily work carried out on job sheets to provide an accurate reference point
* Monitor housekeeping in accordance with Company Hygiene Rules
Qualifications
* Time served apprenticeship with a formal engineering qualification (Mechanical/manufacturing engineering)
* Experience working in a manufacturing environment
* Experience in operating CNC and manual lathes
* Good understanding of bench fitting techniques and the use of hand tools (air tools, files, grinders etc)
* Competent in reading and understanding engineering drawings
* Competent in the use and reading of precision measuring equipment such as micrometres
* Keen eye for detail and experience working to tight tolerances (+/-0.03mm)
* Experience working with metals such as Cast Iron, Bronze and Nickel
* Ability to work independently and problem solve
* Positive attitude and flexible approach towards teamwork and learning new roles

Salary & Benefits
* Salary based on Grade 6 of the harmonised pay scales. Salary min £34,689 – £37,253 max.
