We are recruiting a proactive Hygiene Shift Manager to lead hygiene operations and maintain high standards in a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment. You'll oversee a dedicated team, drive improvements, and help ensure a safe and compliant site.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead daily hygiene operations, ensuring consistently high cleaning standards.
2. Complete compliance documentation accurately and on time.
3. Conduct routine site walkarounds to assess hygiene performance and readiness.
4. Deliver audits and implement corrective actions where required.
5. Manage contamination incidents and pest-related issues, ensuring root-cause actions are completed.
6. Respond to reactive hygiene requests within agreed service levels.
7. Ensure full adherence to site safety standards and regulatory requirements.
8. Maintain accurate hygiene schedules, risk assessments and procedural documents.
9. Identify and lead improvements to hygiene processes and efficiency.
Resource & Financial Control
10. Ensure hygiene equipment, PPE and machinery are maintained and available for use.
11. Support cost management and ensure accurate processing of staff working hours.
People Leadership
12. Lead, train and develop hygiene team members to achieve consistent performance.
13. Conduct inductions, investigations and performance discussions when required.
14. Plan rotas and allocate workloads effectively.
15. Promote teamwork, professionalism and safe working practices.
16. Manage absence fairly and escalate issues appropriately.
Administration & Information Management
17. Maintain accurate training records, documentation and leave records.
18. Deliver regular briefings and toolbox talks to support communication and engagement.
Self‑Management
19. Prioritise workload effectively and support site needs promptly.
20. Attend training to maintain competency and compliance.
