There is an opportunity to join the Team that delivers one of Leonardo’s most innovative product ranges and to support the early lifecycle and customer engagement Team.
This Bid Engineering Lead will be working across various defence products and technologies for the Electronic Warfare business division. The role requires an experienced engineering manager who will work alongside a team of Bid Managers to produce technically compliant solutions and compelling proposals for a wide range of domestic and export customers. The Lead is the primary technical point of contact for bids, responsible for leading a team of engineers and subject matter experts to produce engineering delivery schedules, cost estimates and input into technical bid documentation.
Responsibilities
Organise work packages with team members, be an effective communicator both upwards and downwards, and be prepared to review and replan when issues arise during a complex bid programme. Provide teams with clear expectations of engineering outcomes, ensuring consistency with Policies & Procedures and supporting improvement goals defined by the Engineering Function. Lead the preparation of Bid/Tender deliverables and estimation.
What You’ll Bring
Ability to organise work packages with team members, strong communication skills, preparedness to review and replan when issues arise, and a good attitude with willingness to learn. Experience in all areas is not required.
