Role: IT Development Project Manager
Purpose The IT Development Project Manager will report into the CIO. Working with the CIO to agree the IT roadmap, the IT Project Manager will be responsible for the management and completion of various IT system development projects based heavily around enhancement of our internally developed ERP. The role will require liaising with internal teams to establish the scope of the project and then leading our external partners to deliver the development. We expect a focus on planning, organising, stakeholder management, resourcing, risk management and reporting. Responsibilities · Scope the project, specify the functionality and required outcomes. · Identify required internal and external resources including setting budgets and agreeing external costs. · Identify, quantify and design a mitigation strategy for all project risks. · Set the required work packages, tasks and timescales and ensure adherence to those requirements. · Undertake testing or arrange for UAT within the operational teams. · Report project status at agreed frequencies to include change requirements, cost, progress and performance. · Keep up to date with technology developments as well as project management methodology Skills & Experience You are most likely PRINCE2 accredited, or equivalent with previous IT system development. Your project management knowledge demonstrates an ability to run several projects simultaneously of both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies. You can show knowledge of typical project management tools for tracking progress, managing risk and monitoring budgets. Previous projects managed by you have included user acceptance across a wide range of end users from different specialisms (resource planning, administration, commercial management, finance, health and safety, HR, training and IT).
