Role Overview
We are looking for an ambitious and detail-driven Junior Buyer to join our Buying team, specialising in sourcing from overseas markets. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with proven procurement experience and a strong understanding of international trade who wants to develop further in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
As a Junior Buyer, you'll support the team in identifying, negotiating, and purchasing exciting products from international suppliers. From managing supplier relationships to monitoring global trends, you'll play a hands-on role in ensuring we bring the very best products to our customers — on time, at the right price, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Buying team in sourcing new products and suppliers from overseas markets.
* Support negotiations on pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve the best value for the business.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with international suppliers and manufacturers.
* Monitor shipping schedules, lead times, and logistics to ensure smooth product delivery.
* Conduct product and market research to spot new opportunities and global trends.
* Support the preparation of buying plans, costings, and sales forecasts.
* Work closely with internal teams including Sales, Marketing, and Logistics to deliver successful product launches.
* Handle key administration tasks such as raising purchase orders, updating systems, and maintaining supplier records.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and import/export regulations.

* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* A good negotiator with confidence to liaise with overseas suppliers.
* Analytical and numerically confident, with strong attention to detail.
* Organised and able to juggle multiple tasks in a busy environment.
* Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn.
* Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and ideally some exposure to ERP/Buying systems.
Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar Buying, Procurement, or Supply Chain role is essential.
* Solid experience with overseas sourcing, imports, or logistics.
* Demonstrable success in supplier negotiation and cost management.
* Degree (or equivalent) in Business, Supply Chain, or related field desirable, but not essential.
* Strong interest in international trade and product sourcing.
