We are looking for a Transitions Lead & SENDCo to play a vital role in supporting new learners as they transition into college. You will be the main point of contact for learners, parents, and carers—ensuring they feel supported every step of the way.
This role is perfect for someone who loves working with young people, collaborating across teams, and making a meaningful difference in students' lives.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Providing expert transition support to new learners, ensuring a smooth entry into college life.
* Acting as the key liaison between students, families, curriculum teams, and external agencies.
* Managing EHCP consultation processes and supporting learners with additional needs.
* Developing and auditing support documents to maintain high standards.
* Organising and representing Sheaf at events, open evenings, and recruitment fairs.
* Tracking and monitoring students’ progress to ensure their needs are met.
* Supporting the Safeguarding and Welfare Team in creating a safe, inclusive environment.
What We’re Looking For:
* A proactive, empathetic, and highly organised individual.
* Experience in transition support, student recruitment, or welfare coordination.
* Strong ability to build relationships with students, parents, and external partners.
* Knowledge of EHCP processes and additional learning support.
* Someone who can work independently while being a team player.
