Job description: Temporary Social Worker - Family Safeguarding (Children's Services) Location: Surrey Rate: £42 per hour Contract Type: Temporary (Full-time) Duration: 3-6 months Surrey County Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding Teams on a temporary basis. About the Role: You will provide high-quality statutory social work to children and families at Tier 4 of Surrey's Effective Family Resilience model. Using motivational interviewing and SMART planning, you'll assess needs, reduce risks, and work collaboratively with families and professionals to improve outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Complete statutory assessments and develop outcome-focused care plans. Lead child protection investigations and contribute to legal planning and proceedings. Work closely with multi-agency partners to deliver integrated support. Maintain accurate case records and prepare documentation for court and tribunals. Participate in reflective supervision and group work programmes.Requirements: Qualified Social Worker (DipSW, CQSW or equivalent) and registered with Social Work England.
