Occupational Therapist
Location: South East
Pay rate: £36,648 - £42,403 per annum
Are you an Occupational Therapist? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a dedicated team working with Children & Adults with Physical Disabilities in the South East.
Join a highly professional team committed to continuous service improvement, results-driven, and quality-focused. The team aims to provide appropriate equipment and adaptations to enhance independence, prevent falls and hospital admissions, and reduce reliance on care services. The goal is to offer a comprehensive, coordinated, and streamlined service covering children, adults, and moving and handling. This role offers hybrid working with 2 days in the office.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
1. A Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy, with two years post-registration experience and current registration.
2. Ability to produce clear and concise written reports.
3. Strong team working skills, including collaboration within a multidisciplinary team and liaison with relevant bodies.
4. Knowledge of relevant legislation pertaining to disability.
5. Experience in at least one of the following areas: major adaptations, moving and handling, or paediatric equipment/children with complex needs.
6. Extensive experience visiting disabled and/or older people in their homes.
7. A good understanding of the service's aims related to meeting the needs of older and disabled people.
8. Effective communication skills with a wide range of individuals.
9. A full driving license and access to a car (essential car user status payable).
This role is ideally suited for those traveling from London, Bexley, Bromley, Dartford, Gravesend, Grays, Romford, Sutton, Epsom, Leatherhead, Twickenham, Croydon, Mitcham, Beckenham, Hounslow, Wembley, Harrow, Colchester, Chelmsford, Watford, Luton, Southend-on-Sea, Ipswich, or Cambridge.
