They are seeking a motivated Assistant Buyer (Trading) for their modern head office near Preston.
The Role
Supporting the Trading team, you will help manage category performance, drive sales, and maximize profitability through effective supplier coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain the price file and ensure accuracy across product categories.
* Help implement seasonal plans and accurately forecast promotional activity.
* Support negotiations for best pricing and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Conduct product benchmarking and store visits to stay competitive
* Ensure all offerings meet relevant commercial and legislative regulations.
Candidate Profile
* Previous commercial experience within a retail or wholesale environment.
* Strong analytical ability, negotiation skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* An energetic team player who thrives under pressure and tight deadlines.
