Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Principal Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join the Psychiatric Liaison Service at East Surrey Hospital. This is a part-time role (0.5 WTE) within a well-established post.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality mental health care to working-age and older adults across emergency departments and acute wards. We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative, and committed individual to provide evidence-based assessments and interventions.
Job Summary
The role involves working closely with the Liaison MDT and physical health colleagues to embed psychological, trauma-informed approaches in patient treatment. The candidate will also be responsible for continuing development of the psychology offer within the hospital and providing professional leadership and supervision to Assistant and Trainee Psychologists.
Responsibilities
* Provide direct assessments and evidence-based interventions to patients

Requirements
* Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology or equivalent
* Completion of an appropriate clinical supervision course
* Extensive post-qualification clinical experience in a relevant clinical setting
* Experience of leading in clinical practice, service development, or project work
