What You’ll Do
* Define and execute trade strategy: segmentation, value propositions, portfolio priorities, and route-to-market.
* Lead growth initiatives: identify new geographies, categories, and partnerships with strong ROI.
* Champion commercial excellence: pricing governance, margin optimisation, and data-driven performance cadence.
* Build strategic relationships: deepen engagement with key trade customers and suppliers; lead high-stakes negotiations.
* Develop high-performing teams: coach, inspire, and elevate capability across field sales leadership.
* Collaborate cross-functionally: partner with Marketing, Product, and Customer Service to deliver integrated trade propositions.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven track record leading trade channels or large field sales organisations with sustained revenue and margin growth.
* Highly numerate and commercially astute - able to interrogate data and make decisive, strategic calls.
* Exceptional communicator and influencer, credible at board level and with front-line teams.
* Strong leadership pedigree - builds high-performing teams and drives accountability.
* Industry fluency in WC sector or adjacent trade/building products/distribution.
* Experience in sales excellence frameworks, pricing strategy, and change leadership.
