Manpower is currently seeking 2 interim Laboratory Technicians to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple. This role is based at their scientific Research & Development facility in Port Sunlight Village, Wirral, accessible by train and car. It is a full-time temporary position for 6 months, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation ranges between £24,700 - £27,445 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.
This Laboratory Technician (Fragrance Lab Compounder) role involves working across all Unilever Business Groups globally, supporting fragrance R&D teams. The main responsibility is to accurately formulate recipes, requiring high precision and attention to detail.
You will work both independently and as part of a team in a multi-cultural environment, following safety and procedural guidelines.
Key responsibilities include weighing materials precisely, recording laboratory work, handling raw materials safely, coordinating with team members on stock levels, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety procedures.
Required skills include practical laboratory experience, curiosity about fragrances, teamwork, safety awareness, motivation, strong communication, digital literacy, and the ability to manage changing priorities.
