Overview
We are seeking an Assistant Principal for KS4 to provide maternity cover. This role carries significant responsibility for leading Key Stage 4 and ensuring that pupils achieve their best during a critical stage of their education. You will work closely with senior leaders to oversee attendance, punctuality, behaviour and uniform - the basic factors that create the climate for effective teaching, learning, and progress to take place.
A key part of the role will be driving improvement across KS4, ensuring consistency in standards, and supporting staff in delivering high-quality lessons that engage and challenge pupils. Alongside this, you will contribute to the wider strategic direction of the school. This includes line managing staff, monitoring performance, and supporting professional growth to raise attainment.
You will also work with pupils and parents to strengthen engagement and ensure high levels of achievement and progress. The role offers the chance for an experienced leader to make a meaningful impact, working as part of a strong leadership team, including the Raising Standards Lead, and shaping the future success of Hatcham College during this maternity cover period.
