Role Overview The Payroll Finance Specialist is a key role within the HR Services UK and Ireland Team, reporting directly to the Payroll Manager. This position involves working closely with the Payroll and HR Services Team and other key stakeholders, providing specialist advice and guidance. The role offers exposure to a wide range of payroll finance specialist areas and the opportunity to take ownership of these tasks while adopting a proactive and efficient approach. The key objective is to deliver efficient and timely end-to-end payroll services, ensuring alignment with business needs and applying a continuous improvement ethos to ultimately increase customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities 1. Service Delivery Management: Manage the specialist payroll finance tasks for both UK and Ireland Payrolls, including reconciliations, pension reporting, control accounts, recharges, and end-of-year reporting including ERR Ireland. 2. PSA settlement agreements UK & I 3. Shares Schemes Management: Joint responsibility for the UK Shares Schemes as LTI Correspondent for the UK & Ireland. 4. Project Participation: Collaborate with the Payroll Manager and Project Lead on payroll-related projects, such as integrations and acquisitions. 5. Compliance and Legislative Support: Support Payroll Manager and Payroll Compliance Lead to ensure compliance and legislative updates are cascaded to the payroll team via training and informative sessions. 6. Audit Support: Assist the Payroll team with payroll audits, including National Minimum Wage, annual audits, and HMRC audits. 7. Operational Support: Provide hands-on operational support across payroll as appropriate. 8. Query Response: Respond to all queries in a timely manner as per the Service Level Agreement. 9. System Implementation: Play a pivotal role in the implementation of global and local systems, specifically understanding requirements from a payroll, compensation, and benefits perspective. 10. Audit Actions: Responsible for audit actions and proactively work with finance on these. Act as the single point of contact for finance regarding specialist areas. 11. SOPs and process flows of all tasks Document all tasks completed by way of SOPs and process flows working with Payroll Project and Compliance Lead Education: Degree level or a recognized payroll/finance qualification. Language: Fluent in English. Experience: Knowledge of payroll process delivery within a shared services organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience operating within a fast-paced, results-oriented shared services environment. Significant payroll finance experience, exposure to complex specialist topics, and working within payroll teams. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to communicate effectively across the organization.
