Sales Engineer – Technical Engineering Background Required Southend-on-Sea (with travel across the UK) Up to £40,000 per annum Commission Overview An established manufacturer and supplier of energy-efficient HVAC systems is seeking a technically minded Sales Engineer to join their UK operations. While direct HVAC industry experience is not essential, candidates must demonstrate a solid engineering background, relevant qualifications, and a proven track record in sales or customer-facing roles. Responsibilities Technical Sales Support: Understand customer requirements and offer suitable engineering-led solutions. System Design & Proposals: Work closely with internal teams to produce specifications, quotes, and product selections. Client Engagement: Present technical information confidently in meetings, CPDs, and product demonstrations. Relationship Development: Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, and end-users. Project Collaboration: Liaise with project managers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of proposals. Essential Requirements Engineering Qualification: HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical, Building Services, or related field. Sales Experience: At least 12 months’ experience in technical sales, consultancy, or customer-facing roles. Strong Communication: Able to articulate technical concepts clearly in person, via email, and during presentations. Eligibility: Full right to work in the UK and a valid UK driving licence. Commercial Awareness: Enthusiastic, proactive, and comfortable discussing value-based solutions with clients.
