About the role
Working on site at our Runcorn/Runcorn Heights OSHC, you will join a wonderful Service Manager and their team who are dedicated to making a difference to children and their families.
As an OSHC Educator, you will
• Support the team to develop age-appropriate, fun and engaging activities for children in the OSHC program
• Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety at all times
• Build positive relationships with parents, staff, and children
• Maintain a clean and organised environment for the OSHC program
• Assist with administrative tasks as needed
About you:
Along with experience as an Educator, we’re looking for someone who is passionate about their work. Your positive attitude and experience will allow you to work in a fast-paced, supportive environment that is fun, safe and nurturing for children.
You will also have:
• The ability to work well in a team
• Patience and empathy when working with children
• Knowledge of child development principles.
Qualifications
We are looking for applicants with the following qualifications or studying toward:
* Completed or studying towards Cert 3, Cert 4, or Diploma in School Aged Education and Care or Early Childhood
* Any 1-year Full time Equivalent in studying the following: Primary, Secondary or Special Education, Creative Arts, Fine Arts, Drama, Music, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Diversional therapy or Speech Pathology, Sport and Recreational, qualification.
* Current Paid Blue Card
* First Aid & CPR or willing to attain one
* Previous experience working with diverse communities is an asset
