We are currently recruiting for a Plant Supervisor for our Glasgow Dry Silo Mortar Site.
On a day-to-day basis, the successful Plant Supervisor will be responsible for:
* Accountability for the safety, leadership, and financial performance of the operation in Glasgow DSM.
* Leading all aspects of safety to ensure the site operates safely in line with Tarmac standards.
* Driving the mortar operations strategy alongside the plant manager to ensure safe, profitable, and efficient plant operations.
* Assisting in implementing an operations plan aligned with the commercial strategy and focused on customer needs.
* Supporting the delivery of operational performance targets including cost of production, quality, OTIF, waste, OEE, energy usage, and working capital, and reporting on performance to the mortar operations manager.
* Directing and supporting continuous improvement projects and preventative maintenance programs, and identifying opportunities to enhance utilization, safety, quality, and costs.
* Leading teams to deliver high-quality performance, focusing on complaint management, delivery costs, and new product development.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate should demonstrate extensive supervisory experience, managing a team or function in a results-oriented environment. They should possess excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes and/or production operations in similar heavy industrial or chemical environments, with good awareness of safety, quality, environmental issues, and legislation.
