Salary: £42,765 - £46,051 (with additional pay award pending)

About the Digital Content Manager role
In this role, you will lead the delivery of an impactful programme of content across the range of National Museums Scotland’s digital channels, including nms.ac.uk and our managed social media accounts.
As Digital Content Manager at National Museums Scotland you will
* Plan, co‑ordinate, and drive forward the delivery of a roadmap of digital content that represents the breadth of the museum’s activities
* Manage two Content Producers and foster a values‑led team culture committed to continuous improvement
* Make evidence‑based decisions, using data, research and insights as you and your team successfully produce multi-format content to a large audience cohort across multiple platforms
* Manage the museum’s content production processes, liaising with colleagues across the organisation, prioritising and scheduling projects in line with operational objectives.
Skills and experience we’re looking for in our Digital Content Manager
* Excellent understanding of good digital content production practices and online user behaviours, particularly around web platforms and social media
* Ability to plan and manage multiple priorities within defined resources to deliver projects on time
* Ability to manage and motivate a team of staff
* Up to date understandings of online accessibility standards, content design principles, awareness of online cultural trends, data protection issues and IPR/copyright.
