Job Title: Oracle DB technical Architect
Location: London, UK (2 days in a week from office, Hybrid)
Job type: 6 Months contract with possible extension
* This role requires the candidate who is already holding active Security Check (SC) clearance in accordance with UK Government standards.
Responsibilities
* Design, implement and manage Exadata Cloud Service ExaCS database solutions
* Develop and maintain database architecture strategies to support business goals
* Lead the migration and integration of databases across multi cloud database environments including Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure and Google Cloud
* Ensure high availability, scalability and performance of database systems
* Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define and implement database solutions that meet business requirements.
Requirements
* Hands‑on experience with migrating large databases to Exadata ExaCS/ExaCC platform.
* Experience with migrating databases to ATP/ADW.
* Design database consolidation and reduce OPEX spending.
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior database architects and administrators.
* Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning and security assessments.
