ABOUT AECO ENERGY
AECO Energy is a dynamic, technology-driven energy advisorybusiness with operations across Singapore, Australia, and the Philippines. Wecombine local market knowledge with innovative energy management solutions, helping commercial and industrial businesses access cleaner, smarter, and more cost-effective power. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a driven anddetail-oriented Accountant to join our Singapore finance team.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a hands-on accounting role at the heart of AECO's finance function. You will be responsible for the full spectrum of financial accounting — from preparing financial statements and managing the general ledger, tax compliance, and supporting audits. You will work closely with the Group Finance Manager and have visibility across the broader AECO group's financial operations.
If you are someone who takes pride in accuracy, thrives in a dynamic environment, and wants to grow with a company that is reshaping the energy advisory landscape — we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Operations & Reporting
* Manage the full spectrum of accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll processing, and month-end/year-end closing.
* Perform regular bank reconciliations and ensure accurate journal entries, depreciation, and P&L reporting.
* Review invoices, utility bills, and corporate card expenses to ensure accuracy and completeness.
* Prepare monthly management accounts and support consolidation for group reporting.
* Monitor receivables, follow up with customers, and generate weekly Aged Receivables Reports.
* Track and maintain weekly and monthly cash flow reports and provide 3-month forecasts.
2. Statutory & Tax Compliance
* Ensure timely and accurate submission of statutory filings including GST/VAT, withholding tax, and corporate income tax.
* Review GST transactions quarterly to ensure accurate coding and filings.
* Prepare and file financial statements in accordance with local regulations (e.g., ACRA).
3. Intercompany & Budgeting
* Perform monthly reconciliation and revaluation of intercompany balances, including foreign currency adjustments.
* Update actuals against budget in shared reporting platforms.
* Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting activities across multiple entities.
4. Audit & Ad-hoc Projects
* Coordinate with internal and external auditors and ensure timely submission of required documentation.
* Support ad-hoc finance projects such as entity incorporation, GST registration, or other regulatory initiatives.
* Assist in payroll processing and maintenance of virtual assistant (VA) leave records and directed leave balances.
Requirements
* Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification.
* At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience handling full set of accounts.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with Xero is an added advantage.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
