Job Description:
As we continue our journey of growth and expansion to serve the new era of nuclear energy, Boccard, a leading specialist in engineering, manufacturing, construction, and maintenance in the nuclear energy industry, is looking for a Project Controls Engineer to work within the Project Control team. The role involves ensuring the successful delivery of projects at the Nuclear New Build Project at Hinkley Point C, on time and within budget. The position will be based at Boccard Bristol city centre office.
Working across a portfolio of exciting projects, the role will support the Project Control Team, assisting the Programme Manager with reporting, document management, and project planning.
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting multiple projects to meet specified requirements and targets through good practices.
* Contributing to the delivery programme baseline and managing project control processes such as planning, cost, risk, trend analysis, and change control.
* Managing project risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation measures as needed.
* Maintaining project documentation to required standards.
* Managing changes in estimation and planning to support contract change applications.
* Assisting the Project Management Office in strategy delivery and capability development.
* Providing project performance data, including critical path analysis, milestones, CPI, SPI, and EVA, to the Project Control lead monthly.
* Contributing to monthly client and supplier reports.
* Supporting internal audits and implementing corrective actions.
Qualifications and experience:
Applicants should hold a degree in an Engineering discipline, be detail-oriented, organized, with excellent planning skills, analytical, and proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Query, Power BI). Curiosity and a willingness to learn are essential.
Experience in an engineering or technical environment, ideally in the nuclear industry, is advantageous.
