Help us establish a new music therapy programme.

Purpose of the role
To deliver music therapy sessions in a range of individual and group settings that support our residents’ and learners’ psychological, emotional, cognitive, physical, communication and social needs.
Main responsibilities
* Design and lead individual and group music therapy sessions tailored to each person’s needs and goals.
* Prepare and deliver engaging music therapy sessions that inspire students and promote progress.
* Deliver live music sessions that support communication, social interaction, and emotional expression.
* Utilise a variety of musical instruments, assistive technology and vocal techniques to facilitate therapeutic outcomes.
* Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration as part of the Therapies team to ensure the best outcomes for all residents and learners.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including tutors, work area leaders and care staff to ensure holistic support for each student.
* Keep clear and confidential records and contribute to care plans and reviews.
* Document and evaluate progress using video/audio recordings and written reports as appropriate.
* Manage an inventory of musical instruments and materials, ensuring they are in good condition and available for use.
* Coordinate schedules for music therapy sessions throughout the year.
