Special Needs Teaching Assistant – Start in January

Are you passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs? We’re looking for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant secondary school in Newcastle from January 2026. This is your chance to start the year making a real difference in students’ lives.
What You’ll Do
1. Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN (including autism, ADHD, and speech & language difficulties).
2. Assist teachers in adapting lessons to meet individual needs.
3. Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
4. Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure consistent support.
What We’re Looking For
5. Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based experience is a bonus!).
6. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
7. Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
8. Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 TA or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
