A leading UK food manufacturer is looking for a talented Packaging Technologist to join their Technical team at a fast-paced bakery site. This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a critical part in launching new packaging, driving compliance, and ensuring every solution performs flawlessly from concept through to customer delivery.
The Opportunity
As Packaging Technologist, you’ll sit at the centre of multiple teams, connecting Development, Technical, Process, Specifications and external suppliers.
You’ll ensure every packaging change or innovation is compliant, commercially viable, and production-ready.
From artwork approval to transit trials, you’ll own the process end-to-end while acting as the go-to expert for packaging performance on site.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll lead packaging activity across the site, driving projects from initial concept through to successful launch.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing new and amended packaging introductions
* Leading packaging risk assessments and compliance checks
* Reviewing artwork and supporting specification approvals
* Overseeing transit trials to ensure packaging durability and performance
* Troubleshooting packaging issues alongside suppliers and production teams
* Maintaining accurate packaging data and documentation
You’ll be the person teams rely on to keep packaging moving forward, safely, efficiently and without disruption.
