Director of Clinical Services | Clinical | Full Time | Permanent | Methley Park – LS26
Spire Methley Park Hospital is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Director of Clinical Services to provide overall leadership and management to all clinical service areas within the Hospital. This varied role requires you to work across all clinical areas of the hospital working collaboratively with internal and group-level stakeholders.
Spire Methley Park Hospital situated in Methley in South Leeds, has recently completed a 7.6 million refurbishment, which included a new theatre equipped with cutting-edge technology enabling us to carry out complex surgery across a variety of clinical specialties. Duties and responsibilities
The responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
1. Set and maintain clinical practise and standards within Governance and regulatory framework whilst developing and sharing evidence based clinical practise.
2. Provide overall clinical leadership and operational management to all areas of the clinical service areas as agreed with the post holder.
3. Promote a cost effective, patient focused quality service for the continuing success of Spire Healthcare.
4. Provide clear focus on business results; maintaining the balance between quality healthcare delivery and sound financial performance.
5. Lead and implement the hospital’s clinical strategy and provide support and input to the hospital’s overall business strategy, consistent with corporate direction.
6. Deputise for the Hospital Managing Director in their absence.
7. Act as the Director of Infection Prevention and Control for the Hospital.
Who we're looking for
8. Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner with current NMC/HCPC registration, no restrictions or conditions to practice.
9. Endoscopy Experience Required
10. Previous experience within a Theatre Environment
11. High standard of clinical practice
12. Competent across a range of clinical skills supported by professional competence and knowledge
13. Able to use evidence based practice to provide high standards of care.
14. Knowledge of appropriate standards and external bodies, such as the Care Quality Commission
15. Experience of working in teams and with minimum supervision.
16. Previous leadership experience would be an advantage; however we offer award winning training and CPD.
17. Ability to manage complex cases.
18. Previous experience of managing clinical audits - desirable
