About the Role
Our client's Naval Marine programme delivers the through-life engineering support of the Royal Navy’s complex maritime assets, ranging from managed inventories of equipment to entire ships and nuclear submarines.
This role is within our client's Digital Solutions team, working in the Submarine Support Engineering division of Naval Marine. The team provides collaborative solutions for the UK defence maritime enterprise, including the customer and industry partners.
Reporting to a Senior Project Manager, the Project Manager will oversee the delivery of IKM projects, transition planning into service, and management of IKM services. The primary goal is to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards, while maintaining stakeholder engagement.
We seek a proactive individual who enjoys stakeholder engagement, has end-to-end project delivery experience in IT, Analytics, or defence sectors, and is interested in a 12-month contract within a project management team.
The successful candidate will manage the development, delivery, and ongoing management of Information and Knowledge Management (IKM) services, including infrastructure, development, and data analytics projects.
Responsibilities
* Manage the delivery of integrated projects within scope, schedule, and budget
* Engage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure project success
* Coordinate with teams to meet delivery schedules and support client changes
* Maximise opportunities for contract revenue and margin growth
Requirements
* Experience managing complex IT projects using methodologies like APM, Prince2
* Knowledge of project management principles and leadership skills
* Experience with finance and commercial aspects of projects
* Degree or relevant professional qualification, Prince2 or APM certified
* Experience in managing teams, using MS Projects and Excel
* Experience with riskHive is desirable
* Autonomous project delivery experience
* Ability to manage customer interfaces and establish governance

* The role involves working with controlled goods, technology, and services under Trade Control legislation
* Must hold current, active UK Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) clearance
