Salary: £75,000 - 85,000 per year Requirements: Strong experience with C# .NET Framework and .NET Core Experience with WinForms or other desktop application development Strong knowledge of MS SQL Server Experience with refactoring and modernisation projects Experience working in Agile environments Experience with CI/CD practices Testing experience, with TDD as a bonus Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably AWS Experience migrating legacy systems is desirable React or JavaScript exposure is desirable Experience introducing testing, deployment improvements, or modern engineering practices into existing systems is highly advantageous AI exposure or Python knowledge would be beneficial Responsibilities: Improve and progressively enhance our established C# .NET WinForms desktop codebase Help evolve a large-scale legacy platform from an on-premise desktop environment to a modern .NET Core cloud-based architecture Work closely with our CTO, Head of Engineering, and the original software author to understand and evolve a complex application Contribute to the technical direction of a major systems transformation programme Collaborate with stakeholders, challenge ideas constructively, and support knowledge sharing and planning sessions Take ownership of engineering decisions within a small, collaborative team Support the transition and modernisation of our platform across multiple projects Technologies: .NET Framework AI AWS C# CI/CD Cloud CTO Support JavaScript Python React SQL TDD ASP.NET Frontend Web More: We are a growing, technology-led business based in Slough, undergoing a major systems transformation with around 40 projects in the pipeline.
