This is a key front-facing role, essential to ensuring pupils, staff, parents and visitors receive a professional, efficient and warm service. About the Role The Administrative Assistant will work closely with the Headteacher, School Business Manager and wider staff team to provide high-quality administrative and organisational support. You will be responsible for managing office tasks, maintaining accurate records and acting as a first point of contact for parents and visitors, helping to ensure the school operates effectively and professionally. Key Responsibilities Provide general administrative support, including data entry, filing and record management Act as a first point of contact for parents, visitors and external agencies, both in person and by telephone/email Maintain accurate pupil records and support attendance monitoring Assist with diary management, meeting coordination and minute-taking Support school communications, including letters, newsletters and website updates Process invoices, orders and general financial administration (where applicable) Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations Support school events, admissions processes and wider administrative functions The Ideal Candidate Experience in an administrative or office-based role, ideally within education or a public-facing environment Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail Confident communication skills and a professional, welcoming manner Proficiency in Microsoft Office and school management systems (e.g. SIMS or Arbor desirable) Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality within a primary school setting Flexible, proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team Legal right to work in the UK About the School in Wolverhampton The school in Wolverhampton is proud of its supportive and community-focused ethos.
