What the Job Involves This role involves providing professional mechanical engineering services within the Housing Property Services division. You will be responsible for specifying and designing new mechanical systems, inspecting works, and managing multiple projects. You will act as a project manager and contract administrator, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the specified standards. The role includes significant stakeholder engagement, technical representation, and working on both new builds and retrofitting mechanical installations. You will also contribute to the development of policies, facilitate meetings, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Skills Excellent technical knowledge of mechanical systems Commercial gas qualifications preferred Project management and contract administration skills Ability to design and manage mechanical installations and replacements Skilled in preparing mechanical designs for communal heating works Understanding of heat networks and low carbon installations Strong communication and report writing abilities Problem-solving skills in engineering design and maintenance Experience with statutory regulations and engineering contracts
