The Role We are seeking an experienced Stone Mason to join our client’s skilled team, working on both restoration and new stone installations in Hornchurch and the surrounding Essex / Greater London area. Key Responsibilities * Cutting, shaping, dressing, and finishing stone to precise specifications * Installing stonework, including facades, cladding, decorative, and structural elements * Repairing and restoring existing stone features * Reading and interpreting technical drawings and templates * Working with natural stone, semi-precious stone, marble, and other materials * Ensuring all work meets health & safety and quality standards * Collaborating with team members and other trades to deliver projects on time and to specification Requirements * Proven experience as a stonemason or similar trade background * Strong knowledge of traditional and modern stone masonry techniques * Competence in using a range of masonry tools and equipment * Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship * Ability to work independently or as part of a team * Valid UK driving licence preferred What’s On Offer * Competitive hourly rate of £20.00 – £22.00, depending on experience * Long-term, stable employment with a respected company * Opportunity to work on prestigious and varied projects * Supportive team environment and scope for professional development If you’re a skilled and reliable stone mason who takes pride in high-quality work, we’d love to hear from you.
