Digital Engineering Manager - Energy | Expression of Interest at Stantec, Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, United Kingdom. The role focuses on leading the delivery of Digital Engineering (DE) and Building Information Modelling (BIM) solutions for complex Energy and Resources projects, including Hydropower & Dams, Transmission & Distribution, Renewable, Waste & Generation, and related sectors. The successful candidate will develop and implement digital strategies, oversee project execution, ensure ISO 19650 compliance, drive innovation in digital project delivery, and manage project-specific digital deliverables across the project lifecycle.
The Opportunity
We are open to speaking with experienced Digital Engineering Managers (with BIM experience) for future opportunities as our business continues to grow. We aim to strengthen our BIM capabilities across Information Management and 3D Modelling, following ISO19650.
Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of Digital Engineering (DE) and BIM solutions for complex projects in energy and resources (including Hydropower & Dams, Transmission & Distribution, Renewable, Waste & Generation).
* Develop and implement digital strategies and oversee project execution to ensure quality outcomes.
* Ensure ISO 19650 compliance and drive innovation in digital project delivery.
* Oversee multiple projects, mentor teams, engage with senior stakeholders, and manage project-specific digital deliverables across the project lifecycle.
About You
* Typically hold a degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline; professional certifications (or working towards) such as BIM Certifications, buildingSMART, PMP or equivalent are preferred.
* Experience developing and managing documentation such as EIR, AIR, PIR, and BEP.
* Advanced proficiency in Autodesk tools (Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, Inventor, ACC) and coordination platforms like Revizto, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Power BI.
* Experience leading CDE setup, model federation, and clash detection workflows is desirable.
