GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a forward-thinking school in Sheffield, S20. As a Behaviour Mentor, this role will give you the chance to provide vital support to students with behavioural needs, ensuring they have the skills and strategies to succeed in a positive and inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor: Provide 1:1 and small group support to students facing behavioural challenges. Develop and implement behaviour management strategies to encourage positive outcomes. Support students in building emotional regulation, social skills, and resilience. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to create tailored support plans. Contribute to maintaining a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere. Requirements for Behaviour Mentor: Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs is desirable. Strong communication, patience, and de-escalation skills. Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with students to promote positive change. A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
