The Strategic Compliance Manager is a new role within DIO in a growing field. We are looking for forward-thinking, collaborative, and self-motivated individuals to join us. As we experience increasing demands from our customers, this is an exciting and meaningful time to join DIO and work on one of the largest estates in the UK. The role involves ensuring the Defence Estate meets required compliance standards, making it safe and fit for purpose.
The new roles will be part of the Regional Delivery Team, responsible for managing one of six strategic compliance areas: Fuels, Fire, Gas, Electrical, Asbestos, and Legionella.
This vacancy is for the FIRE discipline. Travel between sites is required to review projects, infrastructure, and local issues.
The successful candidates will lead operational challenges focused on compliance—prioritizing safety, implementing long-term compliance plans, upskilling local teams, and identifying opportunities toward Net Zero. All activities support a safe, compliant estate and align with the strategic goals of the military. This is an exciting opportunity to join a diverse, motivated team dedicated to providing excellent facilities for Service Personnel across multiple MoD locations.

A Strategic Compliance Manager at DIO will:
* Provide direct support and proactive advice to site teams on compliance matters.
* Lead compliance investigations to ensure contractors meet contractual obligations and deliver consistently across the region.
* Implement compliance recommendations from senior customer stakeholders.
* Develop strategies for continuous compliance improvement.
* Lead efforts to mitigate key compliance risks.
* Collaborate with site teams to identify future works and develop continuous improvement bids for upcoming financial years.
Additional responsibilities include:
* Building strong working relationships within the team and with other departments, MoD, and industry partners.
* Leading external technical support and coordinating with partners, including Subject Matter Experts.
* Monitoring trends and issues related to technical matters across the region.
* Supervising Industry Partner performance to ensure statutory and mandatory requirements are met, working with the commercial team on contractual scope issues.
* Managing portfolios and issues related to current and future works.
* Supporting estate assurance activities.
* Ensuring proactive action in cases of non-compliance by partners.
