The Opportunity:
The Coordinator and Communications Lead plays a pivotal role within the leadership and delivery team of theEdinburgh Ocean Leaders Programme. They use their knowledge and skills in ocean issues, coordination and communications to work with a diverse range of international stakeholders. This includes helping design, plan and deliver elements of a vibrant online and in person suite of activities and events, and enhancing the reputation and impact of the programme through effective communications, programme evaluation and partnership building.
This post is part-time (28 hours per week). We are open to considering flexible working patterns and to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
The salary for this post at 0.8FTE is in the range £32,397 to £38,519per annum (equivalent to £40,497-£48,149 at 1.0FTE).
Your skills and attributes for success:
* A Masters degree or equivalent with a significant focus on ocean issues (science, management, policy).
* Exceptionally well organised, with the ability and demonstrated experience to oversee the coordination of a busy international programme.
* Expertise in interdisciplinary research and/or impact relevant to the ocean and coastal communities.
* Experience in effective communications via social media and web, and evidence of creativity as a writer to reach and influence diverse stakeholders.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills to build trust and teamwork, to influence, and to support others to thrive.
