Millennium Gloucester Hotel London Kensington is seeking a Night Shift Engineer Part Time (20 hours/week) who will be responsible for ensuring that should our client encounter any defects or discomfort during their stay, either with personal equipment or hotel property a fast and active response is readily available, ensuring a pleasant stay. After normal working hours, taking on the responsibility of the Maintenance Manager, checking that plant and services are working correctly. To be active in maintaining the complex to the required standards. To be responsible for emergency calls from the Hotel.
The Night Shift Engineer Key Responsibilities will include:
To assist in planned and preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule when requested.
To carry out any maintenance requests outstanding and new requests generated during your shift, as per the required response times.
You may be asked to carry out other requests by the management. Be receptive and polite when dealing with guests complaints report back to the Night Manager; complete maintenance tent card for guests information.
To monitor plant and air conditioning when the Plant Engineer is off duty.
To complete total hotel, walk through every day and change defective lamps.
The Experience & Qualifications for Night Shift Engineer :
City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 or NVQ equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical services.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent written/verbal communication and the ability to communicate across all levels of an organization.
Confident individual who is adept in prioritising and managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Ability to take the initiative and deal with unexpected situations and last minute changes.
Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential data.
The successful candidate will be:
Enthusiastic, self-motivated, proactive, resourceful with excellent attention to detail
Demonstrate excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills with the customers and other hotel departments
Team worker
Ability to work under pressure in a fast pace environment
