We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Assistant Videographer to support our video production team. This role involves assisting with filming, lighting setup, audio recording, equipment management, and basic editing tasks. The ideal candidate is passionate about visual storytelling, technically skilled, and eager to grow within a fast‑paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the lead videographer with on-location and in-studio shoots
* Set up and break down cameras, tripods, lighting, and audio equipment
* Ensure proper lighting and sound quality during filming
* Operate secondary cameras or capture behind‑the‑scenes footage as needed
* Manage and maintain video equipment and ensure it is properly stored
* Transfer, organise, and back up video files after shoots
* Assist with basic video editing, colour correction, and formatting
* Coordinate with talent and crew to maintain production schedules
* Scout and prepare shoot locations when required
Qualifications
* Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience) is desirable.
* Basic understanding of camera operation, framing, and composition
* Familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
* Knowledge of lighting and audio equipment setup
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
* Physical ability to lift and transport equipment
Preferred Skills
* Experience with DSLR, mirrorless, or cinema cameras
* Basic knowledge of colour grading and sound editing
* Drone operation experience (FAA certification is a plus)
* Creative problem‑solving skills
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Desirable Skills
* Background in beauty, fashion, lifestyle, or other design‑led consumer brands.
Work Environment
* On-site shoots in various indoor and outdoor locations
* Studio production settings
* Occasional travel may be required
