About the Role
You will assist the Executive Head Chef in providing exceptional food quality and presentation to our guests, while maintaining a clean and safe working environment. You will inspire and train the team to deliver excellence.
Responsibilities
Day-to-day you will lead the kitchen, supporting the operational duties of running a successful brigade. You will ensure staff safety practices are followed and documented, and that a high level of attention is given to this area by all team members. By delivering smooth service, you will help guests receive an excellent dining experience.
You will work across multiple food outlets, including the restaurant, meetings and events, and bar & lounge‑style food. You will collaborate with a range of supportive colleagues and report directly to the Executive Head Chef.
You will take part in reviewing the hotel's food offering and will work closely with the Executive Head Chef on new concepts and offerings. Your voice and opinion will be valued and contribute to the team’s success.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has a strong passion for culinary excellence and a keen eye for detail. You will be obsessed with consistency and upholding a high standard of food presentation and quality, striking a balance between hands‑on kitchen work, office duties, and coaching the team.
We are looking for a candidate who has worked in a similar role to the one advertised. Experience working in a hotel is not essential, but ideally the candidate has worked with event business previously. Experience working within a restaurant is essential.
