As a Contract Management intern, you will be based on-site, supporting the Site Contract Manager (SCM). Your role will involve: Assisting with the preparation and coordination of site activities Supporting communication between internal teams and external stakeholders Assisting with contract administration and project documentation Reviewing and tracking contract variations and change orders Monitoring compliance with contractual obligations and reporting on progress Maintaining accurate records and filing of correspondence, notices, and agreements This internship offers valuable hands-on experience on a major project, helping you build professional skills and strengthen your CV, all under the mentorship of experienced professionals. Main Responsibilities: Attend Progress Meeting with subcontractors and assist the SCM to prepare Minutes of Meeting; Assist SCM to prepare Letters and Memos to the Subcontractors as and when required. Ensure with support of the Site Contract Management staff some subcontractors' commercial correspondence is timely and duly replied; Record of Man-hours for the respective Subcontractor at site (All Manpower & Services Suppliers); Update Subcontractor’s Additional Works list for the preparation of Monthly Reports; Process and gather information for the Additional Works request and liaise with the Site Technical Office (STO) if require to obtain information related to any technical issues; Manage ,with support of the SCM, commercial and contractual impacts resulting from time, quality, or process related problems on the construction site, as per issuance of each NCR & DCR / FSI; Checking of the Time Sheets, Additional Works Invoices and Monthly Progress Invoices submitted by subcontractors; Assist in the preparation of the Non-Budgeted Cost (NBC) Database such as locating and scanning of the relevant documents, purchase orders, invoices, time sheets and etc.; Assist to review subcontractor payments for compliance with commercial terms and conditions of their contract upon Construction Management verification that all subcontractors payments (progress / milestone) are properly certified & documented; Advise SCM of all claim events that should flow up to other parties involved in the Project for possible Variation Orders for additional costs and or schedule impacts. Other parties would include the client, partners, suppliers, other contractors on site, etc. Support detailed scheduling, planning, coordination of work and continuous supervision, early recognition of possible critical deadlines, arrangement or demand for and implementation of corrective actions, forwarding of information to the SCM / Site Director; Assist in the preparation of commercial documents during negotiation of M&E Erection contracts; Assist in the preparation of close out of site contracts including the production of a SCM close out report when requested; Maintain files of correspondence, reports, minutes and various documents; Ensuring all site costs are recorded in detail to provide transparent feedback in order improve the tender and budget preparation of future contracts; All other day-to-day works related to Site Contract Department. Develop KPI's and tracking method where needed Qualifications and Experience LLB or a Bachelors Degree in Construction Management Strong communicator with the ability to communicate effectively in a number of formats Logical mindset with strong problem solving skills Excellent computer skills in using Office Applications (Excel, Word, Power Point). Attention to detail and a commitment to safety. Desired skills Strong interest in the nuclear services industry and a desire to learn and grow in this field.
