Private Client Solicitor (NQ – 2 PQE) | Edinburgh
A leading UK law firm is looking to appoint a Private Client Solicitor to join its highly regarded Private Wealth & Tax team in Edinburgh.
This is an excellent opportunity for an NQ solicitor or someone with up to two years’ PQE to join a collaborative and technically strong team advising high-net-worth individuals, families, trustees and charities on a broad range of complex private client matters.
The team is recognised for the quality of its work across areas including succession and tax planning, wills and trusts, executry administration, incapacity matters, international private client work and contentious probate. The wider practice also works closely with rural property, corporate and charity specialists, offering exposure to varied and often multi-disciplinary matters.
The successful candidate will work closely with experienced practitioners while also being given early responsibility and client exposure. The role would suit someone who is technically capable, commercially aware and keen to develop within a supportive but ambitious environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Advising clients on a broad range of private client matters
* Drafting wills, trusts and associated documentation
* Assisting with executry and trust administration
* Supporting on tax and succession planning matters
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships
* Contributing to business development and marketing initiatives
* Working collaboratively across the wider private wealth practice
The ideal candidate will:
* Be Scottish qualified at NQ – 2 PQE level
* Have experience or a strong interest in private client work
* Demonstrate strong drafting and communication skills
* Be organised, proactive and commercially minded
* Enjoy working as part of a collaborative and client-focused team
