The Role
As the Head of Category for Bathrooms, you will be responsible for leading and managing all commercial activities related to your categories. Working with key stakeholders from within the Commercial Function and wider business, you will develop and execute strategies to enhance Bathrooms product offering across various sectors, including the Showroom Proposition. Driving innovation, and ensuring that we are compliant with regulations and standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of bathroom products and practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement strategic plans to drive bathroom initiatives across the organisation. Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends in bathrooms, and assess their potential impact on the organisation.
* Lead a team of professionals to execute Bathroom projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives. Developing and managing budgets, forecasts, and financial models to enable the successful implementation energy efficiency projects and initiatives
* Managing communications and engagement with key stakeholders in the business and Operations to ensure that the propositions continue to grow in the right direction and are understood, to ensure that we maximise our product offering and profitability for the business.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Bathroom considerations into product development, operations, and procurement processes. Ensuring that new product ranges are embedded and understood in the key areas of the business that will sell them.
* Effectively develop and manage key supplier relationships for the propositions, to ensure that we form sustainable and profitable partnerships in the industry. Working with the wider commercial function, finance and supporting teams to ensure that we have appropriate terms in place with suppliers to maximise volume and profitability opportunities inline our business goals.
* Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of Bathroom category led programs and initiatives.
* Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry developments related to Bathrooms, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Establish and maintain partnerships with industry stakeholders, government agencies, and other relevant organisations to advance category goals.
This is primarily a hybrid-based role with visits to our office, branches & suppliers on a weekly basis.
You should be based in the UK within easy reach of our Head Office is based in Crick, Northamptonshire.

Skills And Competencies
* Strong proven experience in Bathroom industries or a related field, with a proven track record of success in driving bathroom initiatives.
* Previous experience successfully delivering in a rounded Senior Category Management / Head of Category role - driving sales, trading profit (including rebates and TAs), margin rate, return on stock and product availability.
* Highly numerate, with an ability to utilise research and insight to understand both customers and the market.
* Demonstrable experience in developing and motivating a team. Must be able to inspire and lead a team through real business growth.
* Able to build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders using influencing, collaboration and negotiation skills.
* Able to demonstrate your drive, enthusiasm and continuous improvement outlook in order to maximise our commercial success
It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets, and worked with the following products and/or services: Category Transformation, Change Management, Digital Transformation, Head of Buying, Head of Category, FMCG, Manufacturing, Procurement Manager, Retail, Senior Buyer, Senior Category Manager, Trading Manager.
