Business Continuity Manager
Details Published: 14 July 2023
Location: UK, Bristol
Company: Imperial Brands
Imperial Brands recognises the value of business continuity and crisis management to our employees, customers, partners, and the sustainability of our business. We aspire to ensure that we have an effective business continuity and crisis management framework that allows the business to protect its people and maintain its operations safely and successfully, in the face of the unpredictable threats that face us, ensuring that we remain resilient as we move forward.
The Business Continuity Manager (BCM) will be responsible for developing, maintaining, testing, and reporting on the Group’s business continuity programme and ensuring that we can successfully manage and learn from any crises that occur.
The BCM will serve as the Group’s second line of defence for business continuity and crisis management, working with Functions, Markets, Business Units and Regions to ensure that business continuity and crisis management are successfully embedded locally, coordinated cross-functionally, and subject to appropriate oversight and reporting at Group level.
The BCM will implement Group-led business continuity and crisis management processes and provide expert advice and support to all our teams across the Group.
The BCM must possess a strong understanding of business continuity and crisis management practices and principles, applying them pragmatically, whilst allowing the organisation to simply get on with doing what it does best.
As a leader and domain expert, the BCM enjoys working hands-on, championing new capabilities, and establishing close and regular communication with the CoE Heads, second line, senior business leaders and the wider organisation.
The BCM will serve as Secretary to the Group Crisis Management Team (CMT) and support the business activities necessary to enable the Group to prioritise, report on and, where required, manage a crisis event.
Please note: This role is based in Bristol with 50% hybrid working; therefore you will be required to be in the office 2 days per week.
