Job Overview
We seek a highly skilled Technical Operations Lead for our Cybersecurity Investigations team. This role manages technical operations and ensures the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of digital assets through cybersecurity measures. The successful candidate will lead a team and collaborate with global leads and client partners to deliver services in the UK timezone.
This role is 100% remote, based in the U.K., with flexible hours to support global operations. It reports to our US-based Service Delivery team and works closely with clients in the U.K. and U.S.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor cybersecurity professionals, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing environment through performance management, recruitment, and training.
* Develop team capabilities via training programs, quality assurance, and skill gap analysis.
* Oversee daily technical operations, ensuring adherence to client security protocols.
* Manage incident response and forensic investigations, proposing process improvements.
* Lead long-term initiatives, including process development, change management, and reporting.
* Stay updated on investigation types and ensure team skills are current.
* Serve as technical liaison between the client and internal teams, preparing reports on security trends and incident status.
* Monitor scheduling, attendance, and compliance with laws and regulations.
* Escalate performance and morale issues as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields.
* Cybersecurity certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
* At least 10 years in cybersecurity operations or similar roles.
* At least 5 years as an active investigator in a global enterprise environment.
* Experience managing technical teams.
* Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 27001).
* Proficiency with cybersecurity tools (SIEM, SOAR, etc.) and cloud technologies.
* Understanding of access control, cloud security, data retention, and encryption.
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
* Experience presenting to clients and cross-functional teams.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Preferred: participation in cybersecurity communities, programming knowledge, forensic investigation experience.
