Full time Clinical Photographer 37 Hours – Band 5 (permanent)
With effect from 01 April 2026, NHS Scotland is reducing its full time working week from 37 to 36 hours per week, there will be no change in full time pay.
NHS Tayside Medical Illustration Service provides an essential clinical photography service across 3 sites (Ninewells Hospital, Dundee Dental Hospital and Perth Royal Infirmary) to support medical staff throughout NHS Tayside in patient diagnosis by providing a high quality clinical photographic record.
We are seeking a Clinical Photographer to join our Medical Illustration team to continue to deliver a comprehensive photographic service. You will be using state of the art digital photographic equipment, providing services to a range of specialties.
The team photographs a large number of patients in our studios, wards and theatre within many departments of the hospital.
You will have a degree in clinical photography or equivalent qualification and/or experience within a Photography background, be proficient in the use of current photographic equipment and image processing software, and be able to demonstrate good photographic skills and a high degree of attention to detail.

This post will be required to deliver photography services at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee Dental Hospital and Perth Royal Infirmary therefore travelling across sites on a rotational basis.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
